Low Faith in McCain’s Health Plan

For what it is worth, the problem I have two problems with McCain’s plan. They both stem from my previous frustrations in trying to objectively evaluate between different health plan options: health insurance companies are for-profit corporations, who are out to maximize profit. Tthat means that they’re looking out for their bottom line, and their shareholders,. That may or may not mean they put your best interests first.

Today I looked at my 401(k) for the first time in a long time (and it has been even longer since I blogged about it). For 2008 year-to-date, our 401(k) is down 32%! That stings. That account is the bulk of our long term savings, so our family net worth took a comparable hit.

… I imagine that I’ll be able to find one picture of Taylin’s face, and tell it, “this is Taylin.” The software is then smart enough to look through the image itself to find pictures of Taylin’s face, without me having to label the picture.
